The materials we use
Every eye-contact surface is platinum-cured silicone — the same medical grade used in ophthalmology devices, contact lens solutions, and ophthalmic implants. It's non-porous, non-reactive, and won't harbor bacteria. We bond it to a polycarbonate frame for rigidity; nothing in the assembly contains phthalates or bisphenols.
Optical components are precision-ground from borosilicate glass rated for thermal shock resistance. Seals use medical-grade elastomers. Battery cells are LG-sourced lithium-ion, rated for 1,000+ full charge cycles. Every connection is corrosion-resistant stainless steel — no exposed reactive metals, no moisture risk.

ISO 10993 biocompatibility
Cytotoxicity, sensitization, and irritation panels run by an accredited third-party lab. Reports are available on request.
RoHS compliance
Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and brominated flame retardants — all below detection thresholds.
REACH (EU)
No SVHCs (substances of very high concern) above 0.1% by weight. Every Visionprotimes product is shippable into the EU without restriction.
Optical verification
Light transmission, refractive accuracy, and anti-glare coatings verified by an independent optical testing laboratory.
